Salama Heritage Ecovillage (SHE), Tanzania

Salama Heritage Ecovillage (SHE) Tanzania is a Tanzanian based NGO that promotes sustainable livelihoods, sustainable development and resilient community building in Tanzania and beyond. We work with women, children, youths, persons with disability (PWD) and other Most Vulnerable Groups (MVGs).

My name is Ms Rosemary Olive Mbone Enie. I am a Cameroonian Geologist, Environmentalist and Gender Ambassador for the Gender and Water Alliance (GWA) the Netherlands. I have been resident in Tanzania since 2011 and currently serve as the Executive Director for the Salama Heritage Ecovillage (SHE) Tanzania.

Salama Heritage Ecovillage (SHE) Tanzania would like to be the host organization for ICTP in Tanzania. We are happy to promote ICTP activities in Tanzania and across the East African sub-region.

One of SHE Tanzania’s project is the Heritage Eco-communities for Sustainable Holistic Environment (He4SHE) Initiative working with 7 coastal communities across East Africa in Kenya and Tanzania.I think SHE Tanzania has alot to learn from the ICTP Community. We shall also be happy to share our skills, knowledge and experience from our work in Tanzania, East Africa and Africa. We also see this as a plat form for networking with other ICTP Members from around the world.
