The Lakes Region Tourism Association is the official tourism board of the region, representing close to 100 communities, 273 lakes and ponds, and more than 400 businesses in central New Hampshire, including area attractions, restaurants, retail establishments, accommodations and more. It promotes central New Hampshire as a year-round travel and vacation destination to bring more visitors to the area and economically benefit member businesses.

What do we do for businesses!

Publications Print and distribute 700,000 publications locally, nationally & internationally Did you know that the Where To Guide(200,000) and Map & Guide(500,000)  to the Lakes Region have the largest distribution of any other Lakes Region publication?

Produce and implement a National Advertising Campaign Did you know that each year, the Lakes Region Tourism Association joins resources with White Mountain Attractions and area chambers to purchase advertisements on line, in national magazines and billboards? We represent the region at consumer and tradeshows throughout the Northeast, promoting NH’s  Lakes and Mountains as a year round destination.

Produce a Digital Marketing Campaign Our social media campaign includes facebook, twitter, pinterest and instagram posts on an ongoing basis.

Produce and implement an International Marketing Plan  Did you know the Lakes Region Tourism Association attends international sales mission and tradeshows for consumers and trade and meets with group tour planners & travel writers to give you the best exposure?

Produce and implement a Group Marketing Campaign  Did you know the Lakes Region Association attend the American Bus Association Marketplace and National Association of Sports Commissions Symposium,  maintains a group website and produces a media kit specifically designed to assist tour and meeting planners  with venues, itineraries, photography and video to promote the region.  

 Produce and implement a Media Campaign that includes:

  • Maintaining a web site specifically for travel writers and the media where you can post your news
  • Distributing themed press releases annually
  • Developing and enhance an online photo library for use by travel writers

Develop and promote extensive itineraries:

  • To assist group tour operators
  • To provide ideas to travel writers
  • To assist our guests in planning their activities

Distribute monthly e-mail newsletters to:

  • Potential Visitors
  • Tour Operators, Meeting Planners and Event Coordinators
  • Media and Travel Writers
  • Members

Operate two high traffic Visitor Centers to promote your business

  • Tilton, right off Exit 20 (year-round)
  • Alton Bay, at the town docks (seasonal)
