Born in Dhankuta in 1978, I had enrolled in Tribhuvan University (TU)- affiliated Dhankuta Multiple Campus, Dhankuta to pursue his higher education. I’ve completed his B. Ed. degree in 1998 with specialization in Maths and English.
While working towards his Bachelor’s degree, I found a job at a Kathmandu-based vernacular national weekly –Nepali Patra — in 1997. After having worked nearly for two years for the weekly from Dhankuta district, I later moved to Kathmandu for further studies.
Then, I enrolled at the Central Department of Population Studies (CDPS) in TU where I obtained his MA (postgraduate degree) in Population Studies in 2001. Simultaneously, I continued my journalism career with the Nepali Patra as a sub-editor till early 2003.
Besides working for a weekly newspaper, I have also served as a programme manager in Amaa Milan Kendra, an NGO, for a reproductive health programme funded by CEDPA and UNFPA in 2001-2003.
I have joined The Himalayan Times, No 1 English national daily, in 2003 as a sub-editor. With my dedication and hardworking nature, I was promoted to the post of News Coordinator in 2008.

I Have also been selected by the United States for a month-long Edward R Murrow Programme for Journalists in 2009.
I have written many news reports on aviation and tourism.
